Gum Swamp is an inland wetland and habitat for many bird and fauna species. It is here where the Central West Council Environment and Waterways Alliance’s project “Increased Habitat for Painted Snipe” was undertaken in 2016. Over 158 species of birds have been recorded here including rare and endangered species.
